More than one place to call home.

Australian–Turkish by origin, with roots in Belgium, Mike Ceker thinks of himself as a true citizen of Europe. Moving between cultures has shaped the way he sees people, places, and the small rituals that make somewhere feel like home. His edge is the combination of a traveller’s eye and a host’s instinct: he reads a room quickly, helps people relax without over-directing them, and catches the gestures, textures, and relationships others often miss. His photography is warm and observant—gently directed when that helps, candid whenever the moment can carry itself. His other great creative language is food. In his spare time he is an exquisite chef, bringing the same patience, timing, and respect for craft to the kitchen that he brings behind the camera. Whatever the subject, his aim is simple: make photographs that feel honest, generous, and lived in.
